So we reach February!

Two 'gigs' under my belt, and I feel energised to put together the page layouts for my next booklet.

The other news is about a double success and some waiting.

I have been nominated for a Diabetes UK inspire award for fundraising.....collect my certificate in Basingstoke in March, when they announce the regional winners. Will this be me? .....I have to wait and see.

AND....I am in the top 100 poetry rivals longlist, which means one of my poems will be published in the 2015 finalist book. 30 of the longlist get selected to go to the Albert Hall for a slam in April. Will this be me?....I have to wait and see.

Happy New Year! For me 2015 was eventful. We moved house, Chris had numerous health issues, but we did manage to raise over £2000 for Diabetes UK. Much of this came from poetry book sales and donations for performances/speaking. It's great to be able to raise money doing something so enjoyable!

If you would like to come and hear my poetry, there are 3 events scheduled in the next few weeks. I will be performing a selection of 'Bexhill' poetry at 11.30 am in Egerton Park on 27th June. On 30th June at 3pm invited guests will hear the very first public performance of the published version of the De La Warr Date series of poems. On 4th July at the Treble Clefs evening concert at St Augustine's church, I will be giving the first ever performance of my newly written 'Pirate Poem' entitled 'The Ballad of Horace and Betty'. All donations and profits from booklet sales continue to go to Diabetes UK.
